EDIT: Changed it a bit. Made the gradient a dark horizon, brightened the stars, and made the phoenix a bit more firey. Wasn't happy with it before.
This is my entry to *Pythosblaze
's contest and gift art to those whom have a birthday really close by each other this end of May (apparently, a lot of my buds have a birthday close by).
So I chose a phoenix to represent myself. In Egyptian mythology, it represented immortality. In Arabian mythology, the phoenix would sing melodious songs in the morning so enchanting that Apollo would stop on his chariot and listen. In Japanese mythology, the phoenix did good deeds for people. And in Chinese mythology, it was a symbol of virtue and grace.
When the phoenix is about to be at the end of its life, it would renew itself.
This represents me because throughout my life, I have renewed myself and continued to prosper. I have done good deeds for people within my lifetime. (or I try to at least)
And the phoenix is flying from the fires to the moon and stars. It represents my freedom from past obstacles and my love for astrology.
So I hope you enjoy as I have enjoyed making it!
